MUNQ makes T-shirts inspired by Armenian folk dances. Every illustration is an original work, and every shirt reflects our history, our roots and our culture.
The illustrations
Each shirt is dedicated to one dance. The illustrations are drawn by hand, with the details of traditional costume, pattern and movement. Every detail counts, from the fur-trimmed waistcoats in Ishkhanats Par to the raised hands of the Ejmiatsin dancer.
For adults and kids
The shirts come in adult and children’s sizes. We call the kids’ line Munqik, our little MUNQ. We want children not only to learn Armenian dances but to wear them and share their beauty.
More than movement
Armenian dance is more than movement. It is part of our culture, our memory and our identity. With each shirt we tell the story of one dance: where it comes from and what sets it apart.
